Each artist has created work inspired by a favorite location or their most cherished summer moment. From breathtaking landscapes to intimate snapshots of daily life, this collection captures the spirit of belonging, joy, and connection.

Step into the colorful world of pastels in this 2-hour workshop designed just for beginners. Learn the basics of blending, shading, and layering while experimenting with a variety of techniques. Whether you’re looking to try something new or spark your creative side, this relaxed, hands-on class will give you the confidence to explore pastels and create your own vibrant artwork.

If you have been wanting to brush up on your Spanish conversational skills, please join me for a six week class. If you have ever studied Spanish, you will quickly be able to catch up. Emphasis will be placed on learning vocabulary and phrases used in everyday conversation as well as topics of student interest.

Get into the spirit of our upcoming Plaidurday Parade on October 3rd with a community craft day celebrating all things plaid! We’ll be creating fun, plaid-themed crafts for all ages, perfect to wear, wave, or display at the parade. Bring your creativity, your love of plaid, and maybe even a friend or two. This is a drop-in, all-ages activity, and everyone is welcome!

Are you curious about how to identify the famous sugar maple tree in any season? Or why there are so few hemlock trees left? Or how about who the original inhabitants of the Catskills were and how they lived? Join recent college grad and Windham local, Victoria Shuster, for a walk on the Windham Path where you’ll explore the native trees that grow around here and learn the relationship between these trees and the Indigenous people of the Catskills, the European settlers, and even the beavers who live under the covered bridge! The walk will be a gentle 2 miles/3.5km (strollers welcome!) through the Windham Path.

Join local photographer Francis Driscoll for an inspiring hands-on photography workshop! We’ll begin with a guided walk along the scenic Windham Path (at the NY-23 entrance), where Fran will share tips and techniques for capturing nature and landscape shots using your own digital or phone camera. Afterwards, we’ll gather at the Community Center to learn the basics of photo editing, turning your shots into stunning finished images. Perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike.
