Step into a world of imagination with Fantasy Realms! In this collaborative art adventure, students will work together to design a magical forest where their own unique characters come to life. Using a variety of mediums and techniques, each child will create fantastical creatures, homes, and elements of the forest, weaving their creations into a shared story. With storytelling as a key element, this class sparks creativity and brings art and narrative together, empowering students to explore their imaginations and build a world filled with wonder and magic..

Collaboration with peers is key as they work together to overcome challenges and bring their ideas to life, one brick at a time.

This exciting program encourages curiosity, collaboration, and creativity, showing young scientists that science is everywhere—even at home.

Join us for a festive Lunar New Year Celebration at the Main Street Community Center! This after-school program is perfect for children in grades PreK-4th. Together, we'll explore how the Lunar New Year is celebrated around the world through fun crafts, storytelling, and hands-on activities. Kids will create vibrant decorations, learn about traditional customs, and discover the rich cultural significance of this special holiday. From lucky red envelopes to symbolic art, it's a joyful way to celebrate new beginnings and broaden horizons!

Inspired by artisit Hill Werth and the “Hate Has No Home” initiatives, teens will use stencils to create powerful paintings with positive, personal quotes that reflect their values. As part of the workshop, a collaborative mural will be created and installed at the Community Center, serving as a reminder of the community’s positivity. Pizza and refreshments served.

Designed for students in grades 5-8, this hands-on workshop guides participants through building their own robots and programming them to complete tasks using motors and sensors. Explore the basics of engineering, coding, and problem-solving in a fun and collaborative environment. By the end of the workshop, students will see their creations come to life and gain a new appreciation for the power of robotics!

This December, embark on a frosty adventure with Science Frontiers: Exploring the Arctic! Young scientists will dive into the wonders of the Arctic, learning about its unique ecosystems, wildlife, and extreme climate. Through hands-on experiments and activities, participants will investigate topics like polar bear adaptations, icy habitats, and the science of snow and ice. They'll even explore how humans have adapted to life in the Arctic over time.

Put your engineering skills to the test in our STEM Challenge: Bridge Building! Middle school students in grades 5-8 will work in teams to design and construct bridges using only toothpicks and glue. The goal? To create the strongest bridge capable of holding the most weight. 

Participants will apply principles of physics, geometry, and teamwork to tackle this exciting challenge. This hands-on program encourages problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration as teams compete to see whose bridge reigns supreme. Are you ready to accept the challenge?
