The title of the next Windham Arts Alliance show at the Main Street Community Center is 'Focus on Photography.'
This show will focus on photography, giving this medium the opportunity to shine. As an artist, it is up to you to determine the subject of your work. Each artist may submit two (2) works. Please include each submission a short statement explaining why you selected the subject you photographed. This statement should be able to fit on a 3 X 5 index card including the title, price, and artist’s name. Email your statement to trautman5@aol.com with a jpeg of your work. The maximum size of a piece should be no larger than 24” x 32” to enable enough people to participate. Any works more than 16” x 20” must not use glass.
The due date for all submissions is April 14, 2023. However, if you want your photographs to be used for publicity, the due date is March 27, 2023, writing “Focus” in the email subject heading. In order to get information into local media I need your photograph and statement as soon as possible.
The artwork must be delivered to the Main Street Community Center at 10:00 AM on May 5,
2023. Take down will be July 28, 2023. This will enable the artwork to be on display during the
busy Memorial Day and July 4th holidays.
The opening will be on May 6, 2023, from 4 PM to 6 PM.

The next WAA show at the MSCC is Revisiting Our Landmarks which will combine the
history of our beautiful communities with art of the present. Each artist will choose a photo from the past go to the place in the image, and produce a work that represents the same place today. The artwork created for this show needs to be a new work in any medium of your choice.

All work must be properly framed and ready to hang with a wire on the back. Applications are due by August 12th.
The artwork is to be delivered to the Main Street Community Center at 10:00 AM on
September 1, 2023. Take down will be November 3, 2023. This will enable the artwork to be
on display during the busy Labor Day Weekend and Autumn Affair Weekend.
The opening is scheduled for September 9 with a presentation on the history of the Mountaintop at 1:00 pm and a reception with live music at 3:00 pm.

Featuring the works of Local Artists Amy Silberkleit, Carol Slutzky-Tenerowicz, and Nancy Campbell. Join these three artists to learn about the traditional processes involved in these various forms of printmaking at the three demonstrations being held throughout March and April.
Professional and amateur crafters can exhibit their creations of beauty and functionality. This exhibition will showcase handmade “crafts” including textiles (weaving, quilting, and embroidery) , ceramics, woodworking, and much more.

The Windham Arts Alliance and the Main Street Community Center are once again teaming up to bring you a new exhibition featuring the works of local artists. Our next show is titled 'Beauty of the Catskills', and will showcase the majesty of the Catskills and the flora and fauna that reside here.

A variety of artists from the mountaintop have submitted work to this show, and it was up to them to determine the meaning of the statement and its relationship to their own artwork. Each artist has submitted a description of their work and an explanation of ho ]w their work reflects the theme of the show. In conjunction with the Windham Arts Alliance, the Main Street Community Center presents H'Art & Soul.
Artists of all mediums put their heart and soul into every piece of art they create. This fine art exhibition will showcase works in any medium (with the exception of photography) that truly embody the spirit, emotion, passion, personality, or sense of humanity and beauty of the artist; their heart and soul. Several demontrations were held in conjunction with this show.
